For those of you that know me…for those of you that care
You know it’s in my nature …to nurture and to share
But those of you that really know me …will know this for a fact
There’s often total chaos and the ‘calm’ is just an act
I must impress and make a splash
The less I do the more I dash
Lists too long … eleventh hour …the business …the rush
Commitments way to heavy, it’s always such a push
To cram things in …
To take on more ….
The boundaries weak…
…an open door
That swivels round at such a speed
The warnings come…I take no heed
And then…
The penny drops…
…thank goodness sense prevails…
No need for shouts and wails
‘You’ve got this..girl’ …the words are faint so quiet in my ear
I take a breath…stop in my tracks…no longer trapped in fear
For those of you that know me…. and those I’m yet to meet
Without the dark there is no light…no bright new dawn to greet
For those of you that know me …it’s there so see it shine
The trip I take from chaos brings an order that’s all mine
